A Sparkly Cupcake!

Hi Everyone! What is the perfect topping on a cupcake? Glitter of course! Ha! This is my first card I'm submitting for Lucy's Glitter Challenge . Love that girl! This card was super easy to put together and the sketch could be used over and over again for so many fun different types of cards. I also had to pull out one of my favorite cupcake card color combinations. You can't go wrong with pink, brown and craft! Right, Donna? :) Hope you have a great day!

Card Drive for Kids: Owl Inspired

This card drive... and this PBK Owl ... inspired this... Happy Friday! While the stamps were out for my last couple of cards this idea came to me. The owl is another great Jennifer McGuire technique. I stamped the image, cut it out, then used the reverse side. Then the long leg idea came from you know who, posted up you know where. When I think of kid cards I think of lots of fun crazy colors (you know I like color anyways). I hope to make a few more kids cards and then get them off in the mail. Have a great weekend!

Hanging on a Branch

I've read many blogs this month from crafters saying they want to be better at using their current supplies. We all love new things but its also fun to look back and find some old forgotten favorites. My card today features a few of my older stamps and even one of my very first clear sets! Last valentines day I made a card with a heart growing like a flower. This year I decided to hang them from a tree! I also lightly stamped some PTI text images around the edges of the card. Off to enter this in a few fun challenges going on right now: Hero Arts Friendship & Hearts and Virginia's Beat the Winter Blah's . Have a great day!

An Owl Card

Hey Everyone! Its no secret that I love owls. One of the many great things about owls are that they are a perfect image for the oh-so-difficult cards for guys. I think they have the potential to be quite manly. :) For example check out this card I put together. One of my favorite tricks to coloring images quickly is to start with a colored piece of paper or one that has a slight pattern (like the owl) and just do the shading with a slightly darker colored pencil. Its colored in no time! I also cut out the branch free hand. Its something similar to what Jennifer McGuire did a while back. I found that the it actually looked better the messier my cutting was! How great is that? The little bumps and imperfections make it look more realistic.

Oceans of Fun

I've had some fun the last couple of days coloring the new Hero Arts fish stamps with my Copics. Here are a few cards that I came up with. My Copics colleciton is very limited so I pulled out my Prisma Color pencils for the starfish. I know I'm really going to have a lot of fun with this set! It is right up my alley! Have a great night!

A Happy Little Card

Hi Everyone! Just a quick post tonight. Love this deer stamp and I haven't used it in awhile. It was fun to pair it with the dragonfly from the new Stamp Garden set. I finished the card but decided it needed a little extra something. I ended up adding the yellow border. It was an easy fix and it makes all the difference! Oh! Just noticed a few days ago that I now have over 100 followers! So cool! Thank you to everyone who follows me!!!! Be a follower and a friend and leave a comment. :) I love to hear from you!!!! Have a great day!

Tick Tock Goes the Clock

When I saw the new Hero Arts clock stamp set it went straight to my "must have - gonna buy it now" list. This is the first card I created with the set. Not only are the images super cute and fun to color but the sentiments are clever and give you lots of great ideas on what cards to make using the set. Hope you are having a great day! Materials: Stamps: Hero Arts Cuckoo Ink: Memories Black Dye Paper: PTI Other: Hero Arts buttons, String, PrismaColor Pencils

I Love Squirrels

I love squirrels. I'm not really sure what draws me to the little critters but I love them. The Hero Arts squirrel stamp is one of my favorites. He is so perfect for so many different things. I had fun layering a bunch of circles to make the background and making the squirrel's wish travel through the air with gems. :) Hope you have a great day! See you soon! Materials: Stamps: Woodland Creatures, Clouds, Celebrate All Day Paper: PTI, BoBunny Ink: VersaMark, Memories Black Dye Other: Machine Stitching, Gems, PrismaColor Pencils
