Favorites of 2011

Hi Everyone! I thought it would be fun to look through my cards of 2011 and post my favorites. Most of them have been shared throughout the year but there are a few that never made it to the blog. Happy New Year!

A Flowery Thank You

Hi Everyone! Hope you are enjoying the holidays! Today I used my new Rosie Posie stamp set from Papertrey Ink. When I came across Lucy's sketch earlier today I knew it was a perfect match so I decided to join in her challenge. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler . Have a great day! Thanks for the fun sketch Lucy!

Let it Snow

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing my last Christmas card of the season. It also completes my little mini series using the same sketch and same stamp set. The featured image is the snowman from Tremendous Treats: Christmas . I also used the fun snowflake image to create the background on the blue panel. The background is on of my favorites Grid Background . Have a great day!

Silver Bells

Hi Everyone! Just a few more cards to share in my little holiday series. Today's card features the bell stamp from Tremendous Treats: Christmas . I love this bright and fun color combination. Its one I'll have to write down to use again later. :) I chose my twine first ( Maraschino , Lilac  and Lemon Drop ) and then colored the bows with a close matching Copic maker.  One more Christmas card tomorrow!

Stockings Christmas

Hi Everyone! I'm back with another Christmas card today. This card features the stockings from Tremendos Treats: Christmas . I also used Banner Builder  and Polka Dot Basics . The little hearts were die cut from felt and the twine is Cappuccino from The Twinery. Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Mittens

Hi Everyone! I'm back again today to share another card in my mini Christmas card series. In case you are just tuning in I'm using the sketch of this card and Papertrey Ink's Tremendous Treats: Christmas to finish off my Christmas cards. Today's card features the mittens from the set along with Hero Art's Circle Lace stamp. I have a few more cards to share so I hope you'll join me the rest of the week as I complete this series.

Penguin Christmas

Hi! I've decided to finish my Christmas cards by following the sketch I created for my last card HERE . By using the same layout (with just a few changes on each card) I am finishing my Christmas cards quickly and without any stress! Ya! Also, to keep things simple and fun my main focal image in each card will come from Tremendous Treats: Christmas . The two penguins on this card were created by stamping the original image for one of the penguins (purple penguin) then stamping it again, cutting off the tails of the scarf and adding it to the other side (blue penguin). The background is from Lawn Fawn's Teeny Tiny Backgrounds  and the twine is Stone from The Twinery.

Reindeer Christmas

Hi Everyone! Tremendous Treats is one of the cutest Christmas sets I have EVER seen. In this card I paired the reindeer stamp up with Hero Art's Graph Background . I finished the card with a colored rhinestone  and some twine . Hope you are enjoying the holiday season. It seems to be going faster than ever this year! I'll leave you with a picture of my kids with Santa. Evantide Photography took this awesome picture. Love them!

Birthday Dreams

Hi Everyone! I'm finding myself using some of my older stamps now that PTI has come out with their new inks . Love using familar colors. For this card I used Papertrey Ink's  Enjoy the Ride  and Ad Sense . Have a great day!

Silhouette Advent

I am so excited to share my completed advent calendar . It took me a LONG time to finish it but I'm happy with the end results and can't wait to enjoy each day opening a box with my kids! I used lots of My Minds Eye paper, Papertrey Ink stamps and dies and some beautiful twine from the Twinery to create my project. I always loved wrapping presents when I was younger and it felt like each little advent box was a chance to decorate a small gift. I plan to put candy, activities and fun surprises in each box (yes, I know I'm a few days late but I think the kids will be okay with year ;) ) I think my favorite box is #9. Lots of layers, lots of fun! I also like box #18. It was one of those things where I had an idea and it worked the first time! Woohoo! What Christmas projects are you working on this year? I would love to see them!

Clothesline Congratulations

Hi Everyone! Today's card has a fun combination of stamps (and companies)! I used Banner Builder from PTI, Kiss from the Sun from Hero Arts, Sentiment Sampler from Paper Smooches and a digital cloud background from this Hero Arts DigiKit. Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Mine has been busy with lots of holiday activities including a Christmas Party at the Space Needle and a trip to see Santa!

Love For All Eternity

Hi Everyone! I decided to jump in and try the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge this month. Looooove the inspiration! Isn't it pretty? For my card I used the fun light bulb from Perpetual Bliss  and part of a sentiment from Pretty Phrases . Hope you all are having a good week! The kids and I will be busy this afternoon making a December calendar so they can start crossing off the days tomorrow. Maybe I'll share it when we are done. :) My kids LOVE their crafts (just like their Mommy)!

You're Special

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! This card uses stamps from Paper Smooches Friendly Flowers and Sentiment Sampler . I paper pieced and colored the flowers and was inspired by the cover of a mini 6x6 paper pad and recreated that for my back panel. Hope you enjoy your weekend! I will be putting away all my fall decorations and getting out Christmas decorations! I can't wait until we get our tree up! Such a fun time of the year!

Cheer Up Sunshine

The kids and I have been busy crafting the last couple of weeks and I have so much to share. The problem is that if I leave them alone at the craft table, bottles of glue are used a little too quickly! :) I DO love them crafting with me so sometimes the blog just has to wait. Here is a card I made for publication that wasn't picked up. All stamps are from Paper Smooches Sunny Side Up set. Just over 10 weeks until our baby boy is expected to arrive! Its going so fast!

Just A Note

Happy Tuesday! I finally got my hands on the clear set Blossom Art by Hero Arts. I'm normally not a huge fan of flower stamps but these are the perfect ones to have in my collection when I'm ready to go floral. :) The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler . The sun is out and my son had a great soccer practice this morning so all is good here! Thanks for stopping by!

You Rock!

Hi! Jennifer McGuire recently made a card that made me smile. I had to make one! So here is a 95% lift from her card. Thanks the the inspiration Jennifer! I've still been very busy on the house reorg the last couple of days. Back to work...

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! I had a lot of fun with Halloweenies on this card. I was inspired by my friend Heather's card HERE . I've been busy downsizing and moving my craft room in prepration for the new little guy on the way. Now I have a craft center perfect for me and my kids! Love it! Lots of cards on the way...

A Bunch of Apples

Happy Monday! I haven't participated in a Hero Arts challenge in FOREVER but I love love working with sketches so I had to jump back in the fun this week. The sketch I used was square but I decided to centered the sketch on a standard size card. I paired a few of my favorite Hero Arts stamps together ( Graph Background  & Four Apples ) and am happy to have a teacher card ready to go!

Sugar Rush for Boys

Hi Everyone! Well, I told you I made a lot of cards using the Paper Smooches Sugar Rush stamp set, right? Here is the last one I'll be sharing for awhile. :) This time I put a boyish spin on things. Although this could easily go to a female I thought I should have at least one birthday card in my stash with no pink in it. ;) Off to get a little crafty tonight...

Celebrate Your Day!

Hi Everyone! This is a card I created for the last Paper Crafts call that wasn't accepted. I think this is one of the first cards I've created using my Silhouette. It was long overdue and so fun! One of the best things about creating for magazine calls is the way it gets my brain moving in a new direction. Love that! The Silhouette image I used was Woman's Profile by Hero Arts. The sentiment is from Signature Greetings by Papertrey Ink. Thanks for stopping by today!

Sparks Challenge

Happy Sunday! I'm really enjoying the Sparks challenges over on the Paper Smooches challenge blog HERE . This weeks inspiration photo was this sweet Etsy onsie. My two cards again take two different inspiring elements of the picture. The first card uses Perpetual Bliss and Sentiment Sampler . I loved the little pop of green in the inspiration photo and tried to carry on to my card. For my second card I took those super cute pink ruffles on the onsie and added a few scallop rows to my card. I really love the way this one turned out! Thats why these photos are so fun! The stamps I used in this card are from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler  and Sugar Rush . Thanks for the fun challenge Kim!

Juggling Snowman

Hey! Just jumping in to share a card I created for my guest designer spot back in June for Paper Smooches. It was featured over on their blog but I wanted to share it here for those of you that may have missed it. :) All stamps are from Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes .

Sugar Rush

Hey! I wanted to make a sweet card with the awesome Sugar Rush stamp set by Paper Smooches. I've been getting a lot of use out of this set so you'll be seeing it a lot in my next several cards. :) Since I've been out for awhile my first priority was to stock up on birthday cards and this is the first one I added to my stash. Hope you all had a great Monday!

Let the Good Times Roll

Happy Saturday! Thanks for all of your kind comments welcoming me back to crafting. I'm so happy to be back! For those of you that haven't heard, I am so very excited to be expecting my third little kiddo due early next year! I was really really sick my first 18 weeks but I'm glad to be out of that phase and am axiously awaiting the next addition to our family! Today's card was created using Paper Smooches Perpetual Bliss  and Hero Art's Graph Background . Patterned dot paper is Memory Box and the light newsprint is My Mind's Eye. Hope you are having a great weekend!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

Hey everyone! More on my absense on my next post... I wanted to jump right back in to things and Paper Smooches Sparks challenge was just the ticket! The inspiration braclet is so fun! So much inspiration. You could make a whole set of different cards just from this one picture. Love that. My first card uses Paper Smooches  Hang Ups and Sentiment Sampler along with PTI's Banner Builder . I was inspired by the beautiful chaos created by all the overlapping strands of beads. Next up, I took and completely different look at the braclet and was inspired by the sparkle and overall pattern (translated in to patterned paper). Thanks for the fun challenge Kim! See you all soon!
