Mama Elephant: Bella Letters

I love customizing cards. Mama Elephant's new Bella Letters stamp set is perfect for doing just that. This sweet baby card uses the banner from Bloomsies to frame the name I stamped with Bella Letters.

The grass was inked up with a mask I created from Grassy Trio. The adorable squirrel and star are from Woodland Gifts and the sentiment is from Shooting Star. I love how all of these dies and stamp sets work so effortlessly together.

Mama Elephant: Small Talk

Did you know ants are adorable? Well, you will after you see this new stamp set from Mama Elephant. ;) I love how they are always thinkin' outside of the box.

My card today has all sort of layers, inspired by my son's ant farm. :)

I build a little scene on a journaling card, die cut from Peek a Frame. One little joyous ant was stamped on top of a log from Woodland Gifts. I used Copics to color the log, ants and shade blue around the scene to make things pop. Next I put in some grass die cut with Grassy Trio and Landscape Trio. I inked in a "ground floor" with a mask made from Landscape Trio and stamped three more ants. Aren't they the best?!

The scene needed a little more color so I added a few layers of journaling cards, die cut with the same Peek a Frame die I used for the scene. I stamped the grey card stock with Zenith Borders to add a little interest. Finally, I mounted the whole thing on a card panel cut from Peek a Frame that was inked up to match the scene.

Now do you like ants? I like these ones for sure!

Mama Elephant: Woodland Gifts

Hi! Welcome to Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight weekend. This release is awesome and I'm so excited to share the new Woodland Gifts stamp set today. This stamp set was illustrated by the super talented Elena Roussakis. I know you'll adore these animals just like I do!

For my card I started with a base cut from Sew Fancy. I knew I was going to frame out a scene but wanted to extend the scene beyond the frame so I added the tall grass cut with the new Grass Trio. Next I worked on the scene, starting with stamping, coloring and die cutting the animals from Woodland Gifts. Next I die cut a white background with Starburst Cover. I made sure my "sandwich" wasn't too tight so the stars would stay in, then lightly colored them with Copics. Finally I stamped the log and mushroom in Moonlight and shaded them in to create a soft background.

I mentioned in my last post that I LOVE making my own die cut frames. Today I have another combo for you (be sure to check out my last post if you haven't already). This time I used the smaller frame from Sew Fancy with the journaling card from Peek a Frame. My final touch for this card was tucking in a cloud, cut from Stitched Sky, at the top of my frame.

What is your favorite stamp set from this release?

Mama Elephant May Stampede

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop!

Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!

www.mamaelephant.com

The stamps sets being released this month are AMAZING! So many great stamp sets...dies...I love it all! Today I get to share Bella Letters with you. I also used Woodland Gifts (eeep, did someone say cute animals?!?!)

I'm finally putting my Favorite Prints board on Pinterest to work. I picked a fun saying and stamped it out using the Bella Letters!

The bunny, from Woodland Gifts, helps out by adding the "heart" to the saying. LOVE this bunny! To create the grass in the background I created a mask using the new grass dies coming out this month.

Finally, I created a frame to surround my little scene. I enjoy mixing dies and using them in as many ways as possible. So here is my new favorite combo. I die cut the journaling card die from Peek a Frame with the polariod die from Instalove. It creates a trendy frame that I've seen a lot in the scrapbooking industry. It's always fun to DIY your own frames. :)

Don't forget there is a great giveaway.... check it out!

Just For Fun: Paint & More

Hi Everyone! Have you seen the new crafts section at Target? It's awesome. I recently picked up some paint (check out my Instagram account @ashmarcu) and wanted to incorporate it in to a card.

I started by die cutting a card using Mama Elephants Tags a Lot die, then swirled some paint in a big circle. Next I layered lots of die cuts (mostly from Amy Tan's new Rise & Shine collection). Next I layered in some washi tape and added the typewriter stamped with a sentiment from My Favorite Things You Gnome Me.

Next, I created a Washi Bow using Bella Blvd tape and a Tim Holtz paperclip. It need a little bit more so I added some "paint splatters" with my Copics. Yep, I just dotted my markers here and there to create the look of splatters. Easy and not messy. ;)

Thanks for stopping by today! It's time for more creating....

Just for Fun: Avery Elle

Happy Sunday! Today I'm stamping with Avery Elle's Fabulous Flowers! Gosh, I love this set. It's so fun, trendy, creative and perfect. *happy smile*

It teams up nicely with the new Lawn Fawn inks. Let me tell you how perfect the colors are! They are so cheerful and ink up so nicely. :)

To create this tag I die cut the Tag, You're It from My Favorite Things out of the new Journey 6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper. Next I die cut a circle from Lawn Fawn's Circle Stackables. Then I stamped the flowers and leaves from Fabulous Flowers, making it up as I went. I taped the circle to my tag with Queen&Co Yellow Grid washi tape, then added a few die cut leaves to the edges.

My tag is all ready for a spring gift! I can't wait to create a few more. :)

Creating for Fun: Lawn Fawn

Hi Everyone! I'm on spring break with my kids. My kids have a few classes this week but besides that we are just enjoying some free time! Hooray! This week, I thought it would be fun to challenge (okay, so it hasn't really been a challenge) myself to create just for fun. I've shared a few over on Instagram (I'm @ashmarcu come join me!). Today, I created with Lawn Fawn's Year Five here's how...

First I die cut a Polaroid from Mama Elephant's Polariod Fun. Then I cut a panel to fit behind it. On the panel I cut a circle from Sew Fancy then blended Distress Inks (Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed & Abandoned Coral). The otter was stamped with Year Five, die cut using the coordinating dies and colored with Copics. I put it all together, adding some Bella Blvd washi tape and Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

The grey frame was cut with Sew Fancy from Avery Elle's Neutral Collection Paper Pad. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn's Scripty Sayings. Finally, the back panel was die cut from Sew Fancy (this is a super versatile die set that I use A LOT).

This was a fun card to create! Thanks for stopping by!

I'm excited to introduce you to Twiggy Florets! This sweet, fun and quirky set has the best flowers in it! I stamped one of the flowers, added a bow and pot, then colored it with Copics.

After I colored it, I realized that the Bookmarks die would frame it perfectly! Next, I cut a few more bookmarks with patterned paper and layered them all together. I adhered them to by card base and trimmed the tops. My card needed a little extra detail so I added the small flowers in two corners. I love this set and I know you will too!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the hop!

Mama Elephant: Magical Moments

This week is flyin' by sharing Mama Elephant's new release! I was finishing up a few more cards yesterday (that I will share later this month) and I have to tell you that working with these stamps gets better and better. :) I can't wait to make even more!

Today's card features Magical Moments. This set is all about sentiments. I started by inking the blue sky with Fresh Mint on a die cut panel from Sew Fancy and then stamped the sentiment. I added a few stamped stars from Magical Moments and then die cut  a some stars from Confetti Creative Cuts. The hedgehog was stamped from Ella & Friends, colored with Copics and die cut with the coordinating Creative Cuts. I love how the hedgehog is holding a star. :) I ground the scene with a strip of washi tape. The card was finished with a die cut patterned paper panel and a large cardstock panel (from Sew Fancy again).

I just adore this sentiment and of coarse the hedgehog too!

Thanks for stopping by!
