Avery Elle Starry Scene

Hi Everyone! Have you started making your holiday cards? I love making them one at a time and starting early then I have a fun collection for the holidays!

Today I created my card using Starry Scene and Polar Peek a Boo Pals. Let's check it out!

I started this winter scene with the background. I stamped the star sky with Distress Oxides. I tried MANY different kinds of ink for this look and Distress Oxides ended up being my personal favorite. I found applying the ink to the stamp with an ink blender gave the best results. I also had my stamp and paper set up in a Misti so I could easy stamp it several times.

Next I stamped the mountains, bear and fox and colored them with Copics. I hand cut the hills and added Coarse Glitter to the tops. I finished the card with a sentiment from Fireside.

I created the background with Starry Scene and Sapphire Pigment Ink. Next I used the Photo Mat dies to create the ink blended scene. The beautiful sentiment is from Grateful. I LOVE having the die set to match. Adding the gold shadow was so easy. Finally, I added a few trees from Starry Scene.

These stamp and die sets are so fun. I can't wait to see what YOU create.

I'm sharing the new Peaceful Pines stamps and dies

I started this card with a water colored background using Mimosa Liquid Watercolor. Next I stamped and die cut the pine branches and added water colored die cut berries using Cherry Liquid Watercolor

I love a soft, warm feeling for Christmas cards so I die cut the word "merry" from felt. The card needed more color so I die cut the pin branches again from solid green card stock and used it as a shadow behind my stamped image.

Sea-prise! Avery Elle

Hi Friends! Today I'm sharing the terrifyingly adorable stamp set Sea Prise! Who doesn't like a smiley shark? Here we go...

For today's card I was really inspired to get back to ink blending. I've been water coloring A LOT but ink is fun too! I started the card by stamping and die cutting the shark image. I hand cut a mask for the wave and blended a few layers of Distress Ink. Next, I added the same ink to a scrap piece of paper for the shark to hide behind.

From there I decided it needed more color so I blended several colors of rays behind the waves. I just used Post-it tape to mask the edge is each ray.

I finished the card with a sentiment from Banner Bits.

Avery Elle Mod

Hi Everyone! I'm excited to share the Mod stamp set by Avery Elle. Let's check it out...

For my card today I wanted to experiment with the shapes in this set. After a few tests I came up with this fun sun pattern. To create this trendy look I started by finding the middle on the left side of my card base. I stamped the two large shapes in the set on either side of the middle. Then, I continued the pattern, alternating pieces.

I finished the card with the Hello sentiment from the set and a few Thickers I had on hand. I also decided to stamp and pop the yellow ray up for extra dimension.

Avery Elle & Ellen Hutson Watercolor Blog Hop

Hello!  We are so excited to be hopping along with our friends at Ellen Hutson today.  We are featuring projects using our NEW Liquid Watercolors and are SO excited to show them off in action.  Avery Elle's liquid watercolors come in 10 gorgeous shades that can be used on their own or easily mixed together to create custom colors.  For an intense shade use the watercolors straight out of the bottle.  If you want lighter shades, just add various amounts of water to get the color you desire.  The possibilities are endless.  Be sure to check out all of the details of the hop as well as how to be entered to win one of TWO FULL SETS of our Avery Elle Liquid Watercolors over on the Ellen Hutson Classroom Blog.

Let's get to the hop shall we?

For my card today I created this fun scene using bunnies from Party Pals. A party wouldn't be complete without balloons, right? I added mine from the Toucan Party set. The bunnies were placed on a water colored background. I'm totally addicted these awesome new watercolors! They make backgrounds quick, fun and full of style.

Next, I created hill with the swimming pool from the Splash! die set. I love finding new ways to stretch my dies. The card was finished with an embossed sentiment from Toucan Party.

Thanks for joining me on the hop today. You are off to see the card created by the super talented Elena Roussakis!

Avery Elle Splash!

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing Splash!, the perfectly trendy must have summer stamp set.

Today I also continued playing with watercolors. Let me show you...

To create my card, I started by placing the Splash! pool die cut on water color paper. I loosely traced the inside with water colors.

Next, I removed the die and spread the colors in and out of my line with ONLY water. This toned down and mixed the colors. Sometimes I only pull the color in but since I wanted a splashing pool like I purposely made areas that were messy and added drips.

To finished my card I added the super fun images from Splash! and embosed the sentiment with Silver Fine Embossing Powder.
