Paper Smooches June Release

Paper Smooches has an awesome release going live tonight! I'll link it up when the products are in stock. My first card uses the new Healthy Vibes dies that coordinate with the previously released stamp set (one of my ALL time favorite "get well" sets!). That germ is so fun. I stamped him, die cut it then created a mask to I could sponge on some Distress Ink to fade him from green to white. :) The bandaid with stamped, die cut and then paper pieced. I used watercolor paper and distress markers to create the pink shading. Lots of coloring fun! Next up I used the new Healthy Vibes dies again PLUS the new Band Aids dies! The soup bowl and spoon are super simple, just stamped on patterned paper, die cut and colored for shading. I die cut the Band Aid from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.  I know you'll love all the dies in the release. Be sure to check them out when they are released tonight, June 1st, at 12:01pm Eastern Time.  Thanks fo

Bella Blvd: Mid-Release Collections

Hi Everyone! Today's cards feature Bella Blvd's mid-release collections that are now available! Yay! These collections are so trendy and so colorful and so easy to work with. They have definitely boosted my creativity. :)   I adore all of the new Wildflower pattern paper in the Summer Squeeze collection. I fussy cut around one of my favorite clusters in the pattern and made my own embellishment. I purposely chose a background with no black so the flowers would pop. The black stars add a fun touch of black to balance it all out but leave the flowers and hearts the star of the show!   The sentiment is a stamp from Mama Elephant's Origami .   I love the black backed sentiments found in the Scattered Sprinkles collection in Treasures & Texts. I was inspired by the sentiment "Let's Face it, You're Awesome". I decided to trim off "awesome" and make it large with alphas. For the background I wanted it to be simple with a

Little Tangles: Acetate Card Challenge

Hi Everyone! Are you ready for a new challenge?!? :) The newest Little Tangles challenge is all about acetate! There are SO many things to do with acetate these days....stamp it, make a window, create a shaker.... I got a little creative with this one! That is what a challenge is for, right? I didn't have any acetate cards on hand or Staz On ink to stamp on it.....so I cut up some packaging and made a acetate card front. :) I love this for a mini card. Sometimes the stamp is just enough for what you need (and isn't  this one  perfect??) The patterend paper on the card front provides just enough space inside the cards to write a brief message or your name. I hope you'll join the challenge HERE . I can't wait to see what you create!

Bella Blvd: Pinterest Inspired

Pinterest is still one of the hottest places to find inspiration. A few Bella designers and I used this adorable picture as a starting place to create. You can see all of the projects HERE . {Image Credit:  Thirty Handmade Days } I couldn't ignore those adorable hearts. I had to make a card centered around that idea first.  I used the new Scattered Sprinkles and Summer Squeeze for this card. I LOVE the black backed sentiments! They are so unique and fun to use. I'll be reaching for those a lot! :) This card takes a completely different approach. Do you see the wood floor in the picture? I decided to create my own out of Sprinkles paper! I love this background! I tied all the color together with my striped banner and created a fun sentiment with the Treasures & Text letters. All the letters are from Scattered Sprinkles except the pink one which I pulled from the Molly collection. I love how this card turned out! Thanks for stopping by!

Crate Paper: Journaling Cards

Journaling cards are so trendy in paper crafting and they are so easy to use. Not only do they work great for pocket scrapbooking, but they look great on cards and boxes too! I have a few fun projects to show you. Let's get started! For my first project, a journaling card makes a perfect focal point for my card, but it also has a purpose–it holds a gift card! With Father's Day just around the corner as well as retirements, birthdays and graduations, it's nice to have a place to hold a gift card that is on the front of a card. When I make cards like this, I always put a little note inside to make sure the recipient doesn't miss the gift. The speed limit sign can also be customized to fit the occasion. Fun, right?! For my next card, I was specifically thinking about all those graduation ceremonies just around the corner. This time I layered two journaling cards and die cut half of a circle out of the top card in the center. Strong adhesive holds both sides an
