Hexagon Thank You

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing a card using Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie set. I know this set is super trendy but I feel like I'll be using it for awhile. With hexagons and flowers it can take on a lot of different types of cards for all sorts of occasions. Just my kind of stamp set. :) This card also uses Label Basics by PTI, Sentiment Sampler by Paper Smooches and some lovely My Mind's Eye patterned paper. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

A Flowery Thank You

Hi Everyone! Hope you are enjoying the holidays! Today I used my new Rosie Posie stamp set from Papertrey Ink. When I came across Lucy's sketch earlier today I knew it was a perfect match so I decided to join in her challenge. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler . Have a great day! Thanks for the fun sketch Lucy!

Let it Snow

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing my last Christmas card of the season. It also completes my little mini series using the same sketch and same stamp set. The featured image is the snowman from Tremendous Treats: Christmas . I also used the fun snowflake image to create the background on the blue panel. The background is on of my favorites Grid Background . Have a great day!

Silver Bells

Hi Everyone! Just a few more cards to share in my little holiday series. Today's card features the bell stamp from Tremendous Treats: Christmas . I love this bright and fun color combination. Its one I'll have to write down to use again later. :) I chose my twine first ( Maraschino , Lilac  and Lemon Drop ) and then colored the bows with a close matching Copic maker.  One more Christmas card tomorrow!

Stockings Christmas

Hi Everyone! I'm back with another Christmas card today. This card features the stockings from Tremendos Treats: Christmas . I also used Banner Builder  and Polka Dot Basics . The little hearts were die cut from felt and the twine is Cappuccino from The Twinery. Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Mittens

Hi Everyone! I'm back again today to share another card in my mini Christmas card series. In case you are just tuning in I'm using the sketch of this card and Papertrey Ink's Tremendous Treats: Christmas to finish off my Christmas cards. Today's card features the mittens from the set along with Hero Art's Circle Lace stamp. I have a few more cards to share so I hope you'll join me the rest of the week as I complete this series.

Penguin Christmas

Hi! I've decided to finish my Christmas cards by following the sketch I created for my last card HERE . By using the same layout (with just a few changes on each card) I am finishing my Christmas cards quickly and without any stress! Ya! Also, to keep things simple and fun my main focal image in each card will come from Tremendous Treats: Christmas . The two penguins on this card were created by stamping the original image for one of the penguins (purple penguin) then stamping it again, cutting off the tails of the scarf and adding it to the other side (blue penguin). The background is from Lawn Fawn's Teeny Tiny Backgrounds  and the twine is Stone from The Twinery.

Reindeer Christmas

Hi Everyone! Tremendous Treats is one of the cutest Christmas sets I have EVER seen. In this card I paired the reindeer stamp up with Hero Art's Graph Background . I finished the card with a colored rhinestone  and some twine . Hope you are enjoying the holiday season. It seems to be going faster than ever this year! I'll leave you with a picture of my kids with Santa. Evantide Photography took this awesome picture. Love them!

Birthday Dreams

Hi Everyone! I'm finding myself using some of my older stamps now that PTI has come out with their new inks . Love using familar colors. For this card I used Papertrey Ink's  Enjoy the Ride  and Ad Sense . Have a great day!

Silhouette Advent

I am so excited to share my completed advent calendar . It took me a LONG time to finish it but I'm happy with the end results and can't wait to enjoy each day opening a box with my kids! I used lots of My Minds Eye paper, Papertrey Ink stamps and dies and some beautiful twine from the Twinery to create my project. I always loved wrapping presents when I was younger and it felt like each little advent box was a chance to decorate a small gift. I plan to put candy, activities and fun surprises in each box (yes, I know I'm a few days late but I think the kids will be okay with year ;) ) I think my favorite box is #9. Lots of layers, lots of fun! I also like box #18. It was one of those things where I had an idea and it worked the first time! Woohoo! What Christmas projects are you working on this year? I would love to see them!

Clothesline Congratulations

Hi Everyone! Today's card has a fun combination of stamps (and companies)! I used Banner Builder from PTI, Kiss from the Sun from Hero Arts, Sentiment Sampler from Paper Smooches and a digital cloud background from this Hero Arts DigiKit. Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Mine has been busy with lots of holiday activities including a Christmas Party at the Space Needle and a trip to see Santa!

Celebrate Your Day!

Hi Everyone! This is a card I created for the last Paper Crafts call that wasn't accepted. I think this is one of the first cards I've created using my Silhouette. It was long overdue and so fun! One of the best things about creating for magazine calls is the way it gets my brain moving in a new direction. Love that! The Silhouette image I used was Woman's Profile by Hero Arts. The sentiment is from Signature Greetings by Papertrey Ink. Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

Hey everyone! More on my absense on my next post... I wanted to jump right back in to things and Paper Smooches Sparks challenge was just the ticket! The inspiration braclet is so fun! So much inspiration. You could make a whole set of different cards just from this one picture. Love that. My first card uses Paper Smooches  Hang Ups and Sentiment Sampler along with PTI's Banner Builder . I was inspired by the beautiful chaos created by all the overlapping strands of beads. Next up, I took and completely different look at the braclet and was inspired by the sparkle and overall pattern (translated in to patterned paper). Thanks for the fun challenge Kim! See you all soon!

Remix #3: Card Inspiration + WINNER ANNOUNCED

Hi Everyone! Wow, what a hop huh? Thanks for all of your sweet comments and welcome to all of my new followers that joined me on my last post. Lily Pad is up and running and it's so much fun! Have you hopped over there yet? Today I want to introduce you to my next Remix inspiration. Over the next week or so I will take this card that I designed and use it as inspiration to create a scrapbook page. On the top of my blog there is a link that will take you to past Remixes so if you are new you can jump back and see what its all about! :) I found this color combo in a recent Better Homes and Gardens magazine and fell in love. Its nothing that I would have picked on my own but am happy I was able to translate beautiful colors inside a home to a fun card. The stamps are all Papertrey Ink. I used Signature Greetings , Banner Builder and Delightful Doilies . I added some twine and buttons to compete my banner. I can't wait to get started on my layout. Just need to pick some pictur...

Scooting By

Hi Everyone! How about a bright and colorful card today? It all started with some patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket paired with the SUPER cute Paper Smooches scooter. I used a Copic marker to shade in the wheels and lights. Just an easy trick to avoid small paper piecing. For the clouds I used the reverse side of the stamp (the part that normally clings to the block) to stamp the white fluffy image and turned the stamp over to the right side and inked actual cloud image right on top. The die cut button, edge design and banner are all from Papertrey Ink . Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great day!

Happy Wedding Day

Hi Everyone! Miss my latest Remix layout? Check it out HERE . Today's card was inspired by this week's Tuesday Trigger over at the Moxie Fab blog. The colors and theme really stood out to me and I used those two things and a little distressing for my card. I adore Papertrey's Delightful Doilies stamps and dies. I'm finding so many ways to use them and here I decided they would make a pretty flower with the addition of leafs from Delightful Dahlia (*smile* just realized I used two "delightful" sets). I folded the flower several times to add some distressing and also did some white ink distressing along the edges. Happy card! Happy day! Thanks for stopping by!

Remix: Layout #2

Hi Everyone! I'm finally back with my Remix layout. Quick catch up for newbies... Remix: From Card to Page  is a feature on my blog where I design a card and then use that as inspiration for a scrapbook layout. Check out the Remix #2 card HERE . For this Remix I used the apple image (from Paper Smooches) as my inspiration. It all started with those 3 apples on the bottom of the page and then I built everything around it. Since I only had one picture for this layout I decided to create two areas for journaling. The first journaling block is the quick story of my son's first day of preschool. The second spot includes lots of facts I thought would be fun to remember as the years go by. (details were blurred out for privacy) The apples were paper pieced, inked, colored (stems and leaf). The star was stamped from Papertrey Ink's Banner Builder set. I also carried over the banner theme from my inspiration card and added several stamps banners to the la...

Down Hill Bicycle Card

Hi Everyone! I just finished up a few cards for Penny Black and am so excited to share them with you...but you'll just have to wait. ;) Their stamps are so fun and addicting...sort of like a potato chip...you can't stop with just one! But since I have to keep those cards locked up for a little bit I thought I'd show you a card I made for a friend recently. She requested a card for her brother. She wanted the PTI bike stamp going downhill. With that inspiration, I came up with this. I recently picked up some cork sheets at Michael's because I was so inspired by Dawn's recent projects . Immediately I found out how fragile they are because I accidentally ripped one. After a huge sigh and a little growl I set the damaged piece aside. I went back a few minutes later to throw the piece away....I had an idea! It kinda looks cool torn! :) Materials: Stamps: PTI Everyday Button Bits, Hero Arts Woodgrain Ink: Ranger Distress Ink, Memories Black Dye Ink Paper: Paper Trey Ink...

Embellish Color Challenge with Labels

Hi Everyone! Today I have a card to share for the latest Embellish Magazine challenge. I have to admit that the colors were a HUGE challenge for me. No green? No blue? What am I to do! But with a little inspiration I did it! I am so lucky to live in an area where we see lots of hot air balloons. I love love love seeing them at sunset. Something about the silhouette against the colored sky is so magical. So with that memory combined with the challenge and my Up Up and Away set I created this... There is A LOT of Nichole Heady influence here. :) I couldn't help but try a few of her tricks. The sunset and the stripe on the silk ribbon were created with my Copics. The hot air balloons were kept simple with some brown ink. I finished the card off with a few gems and the sentiment on the banner. Thanks for stopping by! Materials: Stamps: Papertrey Ink Up Up and Away Ink: Colorbox, Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMark Paper: Papertrey Ink Melon Berry, Lemon Tart, Dark Chocolate Other: Silk R...

A Simple Thank You

Hi Everyone! Today I have a card to share where I've tried to embrace a little more white space and a little more ink. :) This was made using pretty basic stamping techniques and is easy enough to make a set for personal use or gift giving. I mounted the three different leaf sizes from Beautiful Blooms II on an acrylic block and then stamped them randomly from corner to corner. The flowers were also stamped in three different sizes and cut out (PTI has die cuts by have been opting to still cut by hand). The card was finished with a row of polka dots and a simple sentiment. Have a great day! I will be out enjoying the sunshine. Hope you will be too! Materials: Stamps: Papertrey Ink Beautiful Blooms II, Polka Dot Basics II, Up Up and Away Paper: Papertrey Ink Simply Chartreuse Ink: Papertrey Ink Rasberry Fizz, Spring Moss; ColorBox Chalk Ink; Memento Tuxedo Black
