Little Tangles: Envelope Challenge

The new Neat & Tangled challenge is up over at Little Tangles ! Are you ready? I have been waiting, waiting and waiting for a cool street sign stamp set. Neat and Tangled's  On the Corner and Stop and Go  are exactly what I was waiting for and more. :) They are super hip, super fun...and sell out super fast! Ha! It took me a few times waiting for a new shipment to come in but I FINALLY got them. Yay. Okay, on to the card... I stamped the card with On the Corner. The adorable journaling card and patterned paper are from the new Dear Lizzy collection Day Dreamer. I stamped the street sign in grey and then colored it in a warmer grey. When I was coloring I made sure to stay in the lines, rather then cross them so you can still see the fun detail of the stamp. Next, I made a coordinating envelope with Stop and Go. The "for" sentiment is perfect for the front of an envelope. Now it's ready to be addressed! I can't wait to see what you

Bella Blvd: Creating a Long Title

I can't say it enough. I LOVE creating sentiments with Bella Blvd stickers and journaling cards. I was challenged to make a few cards with long sentiments. Fun right? I love all the stickers included in Max. As I was looking through them I thought it would be fun to make a list of things a boy should "be". This would also make a super cute journaling card to include in a pocket style scrapbooking album. Hmmmm. :) Next up I turned to the girly side of things. ;) On this card I started with the journaling card and then found ways to extend it. The "sweet" label was creating by cutting off the bottom of the tab. I love the tab but I label fit much better in the space I had. :) Thanks for stopping by today!

Card Creations Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Welcome to the Paper Crafts Card Creations Volume 2 blog hop! This is such a fun magazine. I've already been through my copy a few times and it's AMAZING! So much inspiration. It makes you want to craft, and that's a good thing! If you're hoppin' along you should have come from  Kalyn Kepner 's blog. I always love what she creates! We all are working with a sketch for this hop. I chose this one.... I didn't match the pieces exactly but I was inspired by the angles. Geometric designs are so trendy right now.   To make the card I cut up 4 different patterned papers from Studio Calico's Wanderlust 6x6 paper pad. I purposely chose patterns that were different but didn't compete. I didn't want a super busy card. I layered them all on a text weight paper then adhered them to a cardstock base. The final step was to add my sentiment and embellishments.  To celebrate Card Creations Volume 2 Paper Crafts is letting me GIVEAW

Mama Elephant: Origami Love

I love stamping a super fun, creative and unique stamp set. Mama Elephant's Origami  set is all three of those things and more . The sketchy sentiments? Yes please! I started my card with the black bear. I love the color variations in the Basic Grey Fresh Cut 6x6 paper pad. There are a few great faux water colored pages that I'm really enjoying. I stamped the bear three times and layered him for some dimension. While I was layering him I decided to turn his head just a little bit. Eeek, so cute!  The card came together really quickly after that. I just used a 4x6 journaling card, trimmed it down, placed the bear, stamped the sentiment and added a few embellishments. The journaling card was then adhered to some patterned paper from Crate Paper and finally adhere to a cardstock base. What origami animals should I stamp next? :) Supplies: Mama Elephant Origami Stamp Set *BasicGrey FRESH CUT 6 x 6 Cardstock Paper Pack FRS-4464 *Crate Pap
