Sending Birthday Wishes

Hi Everyone! Happy May Day! First I want to say hello to my new followers. :) I really do appreciate all of you that read my blog, get email updates, follow and especially leave comments!

For today's cards I used Polka Dot Basics II, Wishing You and Everyday Button Bits (for the setiment) from Papertrey Ink.

There are lots of little details on this card. I scored a lattice design on the Aqua Mist card stock and curled out the top of the tulips to bring them to life. The focal point was cut out with Nestabilities Label One. Since I wanted it a little bit longer, I cut it out twice, trimmed down the second piece, taped them together, then covered the seem with buttons.

I finished the card with a black scallop trim piece and some black machine stitching. All ink, paper and buttons are PTI.

Hope you have a great day and are enjoying your weekend!

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !

Mama Elephant March Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to
