Making Labels Day 2

Hi Everyone! So I wanted to play around with this label idea I came up with yesterday. You can see my first card HERE .  I started with the same supplies as yesterday (Paper Smooches  Due Die 1  and  Borderlicious ). This time I decided to use the postage stamp border. It took a little more effort to line up but I'm happy I gave it a chance. After I stamped the border I thought it kind of looked like a front door mat so I went with it. :)  I finished the card with the frame portion from Due Die 1, a sentiment from Word Salad  and stamps from Bitty Bungalows . Hm, what should I try next?

Create a Label

Hey Everyone! I have really been enjoying creating with die cut labels lately. I used a small one in my fox card HERE  and a larger one on this card HERE . So I decided it was about time to try to create one myself with supplies I already have. After thinking about it for a couple of days it clicked! I used Paper Smooches Duo Die 1  and a stamp from Borderliscious . Perfection! So you can see my cute little label there in the middle of my card. What do you think? I'm excited to try other colors, shapes, borders... What trends do you see in paper crafting that you want to recreate ? Let me know and maybe I'll give it a try! It's a fun challenge and totally worth it when it all clicks. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Bella Blvd: Friday Sketch

Hi Everyone! How was your weekend? This card was over on the  Bella Blvd blog  for the Friday Sketch day. Head on over there to see the sketch AND to take a peek at the cards the other designers created! They are awesome! I am really enjoying playing with Bella Blvd stickers. I really love these ones HERE  and also these HERE . The arrows are super awesome too HERE . It's so fun to mix and match them to create a sentiment! That's it from me today. Time to go craft! :)

Winner and a Card

It's time to pick a winner...   Christina  said... Just found your blog through Ellen's newsletter--what a treat! I adore this layout with the die cut window for the little house. How adorable! October 15, 2013 at 7:17 AM I used Random.org and Christina won! Congrats Christina! Email me at cherryhilldesign at hotmail dot com and I will get you your prize! I just got through a lot of assignments so I thought it would also be fun to make a card JFF (Just for Fun)! I pulled out  Cosmos  and the matching  dies . This card shares a lot of ideas from other cards I've made lately. The die cutting is from HERE , the washi bow is from HERE  (tutorial HERE ) and the slanted paper is from HERE . All are elements that I love and will probably do over and over again. :)  When I was putting together the card I needed to do something to the star to make it match the tone of the rest of the card. Ink splatters? No. Paper piece? No. And then I remembered Jennifer

Bella Blvd: Pinterest Inspired

Hi Everyone! What a week! Did you see the GIVEAWAY Ellen Huston is offering on my blog? Check it out HERE . Its open until Friday morning!   Today I'm excited to share two cards I have over on the Bella Blvd blog today! To see the inspiration picture, supplies used and how to see how I was inspired go over HERE and check it out!     I really love how quickly and easily cards come together using Bella Blvd's collections. I'm like a kid in a candy store. Their products are super fun and translate SO well from scrapbooking to card making! I can't wait to try them in my Project Life album. :)   I have another card to share tomorrow! I'm telling you....I've been so busy but I'm having SO much fun!

You're Awesome Card

Hi Everyone! I've said it before and I'll say it again....I love to layer. It's fun for me. It's almost like working on a puzzle. Sometimes it goes quickly and other times I can play with paper pieces and I never find a solution. Here is one card I figured out. :)     I used Nina Yang's new Simply Tags: Christmas  set. I haven't started Christmas cards yet so I thought I would use one of the other sentiments included in the set. The paper is My Girl  from American Crafts. It's the same one I used below (and is also part of my Ellen Huston GIVEAWAY !).      The white card base seemed a little boring so I used some pink ink and my watercolor brush to add light splatters.   Thanks for stopping by!

In the CLASSroom + GIVEWAY

I hope you'll go over their and take and check it out.     Here is a peek at the card I created. It uses lots of my FAVORITE products! And the best part? Ellen is GIVING. THEM. AWAY. to one of you! Check out what the winner will get below. Wow. She is so generous! For a chance to win just leave me a comment. I will draw a winner Friday morning.    Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll stick around because I have a lot more to share this week! :)

Avocado Arts October

Hi Everyone! I'm over on the Avocado Arts blog today sharing my cards for their October release!   Here is a peek at one of my cards...   The acorn in this set is adorable. I love highlighting stamps by putting them behind a die cut shape with a little dimensional adhesive. I also couldn't help myself from putting more washi tape ruffles on this card. I love the texture it adds without adding too much bulk! It's a good thing. ;)   Thanks for stopping by!

WCMD Blog Hop

Hi Everyone! Today I get the privilege of hopping with the winners from World Card Making Day 2012.   When I entered last year I sent in a few cards that I adored and was hopeful for a win but certainly didn't expect it. I can't believe it's been a year since I entered and I am SO glad that I did. When the email arrived that I had won in the love category I was beyond thrilled!   So today I'm helping to celebrate by creating another love card. It's actually one of my favorite types of cards to create. Maybe because they are so happy?     Lots of layers and happy Bella Blvd products going on here. The "hello" is a Silhouette file called Hello Sunshine Phrase.   Next up in the hop is Carolynn Wilson . I can't wait to see what she created!   Here are all the designers in the hop... Agata Pfister Amber Kroening Angeline Yong Jeet Leen Ashley Marcu  (that's me!) Carolynn Wilson Chunyuan Wu Emily Leiphart Heathe

Bella Blvd DT Introduction!!!

Hey Everyone! Today is a super cool day. I'm up on the Bella Blvd blog with a few of my DT submission cards. It's my official introduction and I'm still pinching myself that I'm on the team...but here I am...    Wanna see my cards?     I love layering, using journaling cards, creating cool decorative tape embellishments and playing with color. That pretty much sums it up. Oh, and I LOVE to stamp but I'm finding that I can walk away from stamping every once in a while and it gives me more creative energy for stamping later. It's a good mix!      Thanks for checking out my cards and my blog! I have a lot more to share so stick around for a little while. ;)   Ashley
