Happy Birthday David! Thought I'd send you some pumpkin pie way over there across the country in NYC! So my brother (David) is the TRUE artist of the family (but don't call him an artist because that isn't cool). Hey Everyone! Its been awhile since I've been able to participate in Dawn 's color challenge. This one was a lot of fun! Love the mix of bright colors with the yummy craft and brown neutrals. The layered label shapes were both cut from my Nestabilities Label One set. The rasberry layer is just the basic shape and then for the cream layer was cut twice. I trimmed the two pieces until I had the longer shape that I wanted then hid the seam behind the craft colored piece. Thanks Dawn! Both of the kiddos are sleeping at the same time! Hip hip hooray! It won't last long so here is a quick share... For the small butterfly I taped strips of patterned paper to a solid sheet and then used my Stampin' Up butterfly die cut. The clear butterfly is also a Stampin' up beauty that I stamped with white StazOn. I put dimensional tape under both sets of wings to give her little lift. :) Will add supply list later... Hey Everyone! When Nichole from PTI announced a challenge for World Card Making day I knew I wanted to join. The challenge was to make a card influenced by different cultures from around the world. She provided four different countries with tons of inspiration and ideas. The countries were Japan, India, Australia and Mexico . I chose to make a card influenced by Mexico! Hey Everyone! Happy Monday! Its challenge time over at Caardvarks . What a great way to start the week, huh? This challenge is totally fun! Just create a card using ribbon in a creative way! Are you ready? Here is my first card: I was walking through my local craft store last week and one of their projects caught my eye. They wove ribbon together and used in on a layout. I took this idea and put a little spin on it by placing it behind a pumpkin shape I cut out using my Silhouette. I kept the rest of the card super basic to let the pumpkin shine. Oh, the leaves poking out of the pumpkin are also ribbon. The ribbon I used was from our sponser for this challenge, May Arts . I just love their ribbon. It's always my go to ribbon. Hey Everyone! Sharing another ATC today. This idea popped in to my head a little earlier today and I had some time this evening to put it together. I stamped the pumpkin, used a circle punch to cut out a hole and then found the perfect owl to nest inside of it. :) Hope you had a great weekend!
