Avery Elle Shaker Card


It's time to party! Today's card feature's Avery Elle's More Furry Friends, Time to Party and Scalloped Pierced Rectangle dies. This combo makes such a fun shaker card!


To create the card I die cut the largest Scalloped Pierced Rectangle and remove only the center of the die. Next, I stamped and die cut the adorable cat and the party balloons and colored them with Copics. I added string to the balloons and adhered them to the front of my card. To create the shaker I added foam adhesive (two layers!) on the back around the frame and put lots of Pretty Pink Posh sequins inside. The background was created with Distress Oxide. I LOVE how smooth these new inks are. They blend so easily and are my current go to inks.

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders .
