Bunny Love

Hi Everyone! Thank you for your enthusiasm for my new blog feature (and you don't even know what it is yet)! I'm going to start it up next Monday so come back and enjoy new regular posts every Monday and Friday.

I pulled out this adorable older Penny Black bunny image for my card today.

I colored the bunny with Copics and added Glossy Accents and glitter to the hearts. I used several different My Mind's Eye papers with my favorite Papertrey Ink cardstock and added a few fun embelishments. This was my first go at American Craft's MixTape and I LOVE IT! So fun and easy to work with.

You have the best designer's eye for color, balance, placement etc. and your coloring and cutting skills always impress me, Ashley!
The bunny image had me perplexed for a few moments, though. The bunny is doing the "Snoopy Dance" with his head way back and we are looking at his nostrils? Then what is the oval black thing? A licorice jelly bean? A strange Hitler mustache? He has TWO mouths? Then I realized the dots were eyes, and I was NOT looking up Mr. Bunny's nose... and had a good laugh! Not on drugs, just tired....

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !

Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede.
