Poppy Seed Challenge #2

Hi Everyone! I'm a big fan of Lisa Johnson. She is one of the best. She just started doing her own challenges and they are so fun!

The current challenge is to combine buttons, polka dots and the color light moss. I made a few cards inspired by her challenge and also by spring clothing (a fun tip Tami used on the Hero Arts blog this week).

The first card was inpired by a denim jacket I have. The large flower was embossed then shaded with white colored pencil. I used cling dots for my background. I like how the dots make the card a little less serious.

The second card was inspired by this girl's dress I saw last week at the Gap. Isn't it fun?

Here is my card. I used the Bird on a Branch stamp from Hero Arts paired with some buttons and gems from PTI. The sentiments on both cards are from the Hero Art's Thoughtul Messages clear set. Oooo and did you spot the new PTI medium scallop die cut! I'm totally in love. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you had a great day!

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !

Mama Elephant March Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to
