Scooting By

Hi Everyone! How about a bright and colorful card today? It all started with some patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket paired with the SUPER cute Paper Smooches scooter.

I used a Copic marker to shade in the wheels and lights. Just an easy trick to avoid small paper piecing. For the clouds I used the reverse side of the stamp (the part that normally clings to the block) to stamp the white fluffy image and turned the stamp over to the right side and inked actual cloud image right on top. The die cut button, edge design and banner are all from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great day!

Such a cute card Ashley!
I would *totally* love to ride a scooter like this one - even though I don't drive or ride anything... I prefer to walk everywhere! But this scooter looks too much fun ;)

Mama Elephant: November Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! You should have arrived here from Geralyn's blog .  The newest release is now live and available for purchase in their store HERE ! The release is another knock out hit! Each stamp set is amazing! Today I'm featuring Cross My Heart and I sneaked in a few of the other sets too! ;) I started my card by die cutting the stitched index card . Then I cut out the window  which is designed to open. (cool, right?) I wanted a frame for my window so I die cut the window again and trimmed the side before adhering it to my index base. Then I backed my window with some cloud patterned paper for my outside sky. Next I stamped and die cut the cats from Purrfect Pair. I have had SO much fun with these cats. After adhering to cats to the window sill, I stamped and fussy cut the heart balloon. I tied some black floss around the balloon and adhere it to the kitten's paw. Finally, I stamped my sentiment.
