Hooray Hooray Birthday Card

Hi Everyone! Happy Tuesday! Here is a card I made for my favorite niece who just turned 6. I added lots of glitter and pink for the birthday girl along with a few other fun colors. I stamped the banner after stitching the card so I could hang it in the right place. All the stamps are from Hero Art's Life of the Party Birthday . Thanks for stopping by!

Scooting By

Hi Everyone! How about a bright and colorful card today? It all started with some patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket paired with the SUPER cute Paper Smooches scooter. I used a Copic marker to shade in the wheels and lights. Just an easy trick to avoid small paper piecing. For the clouds I used the reverse side of the stamp (the part that normally clings to the block) to stamp the white fluffy image and turned the stamp over to the right side and inked actual cloud image right on top. The die cut button, edge design and banner are all from Papertrey Ink . Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great day!

An Apple a Day

Hi Everyone! How about another card using Paper Smooches stamps? This was also a reject from Paper Crafts Go-To Sketches. Despite its rejection its a card that makes me smile. Something about apples just brings a smile to my face. :) I paper pieced the apple, added one of Jane's adorable buttons, and placed it on a smile layered background. Hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Wedding Day

Hi Everyone! Miss my latest Remix layout? Check it out HERE . Today's card was inspired by this week's Tuesday Trigger over at the Moxie Fab blog. The colors and theme really stood out to me and I used those two things and a little distressing for my card. I adore Papertrey's Delightful Doilies stamps and dies. I'm finding so many ways to use them and here I decided they would make a pretty flower with the addition of leafs from Delightful Dahlia (*smile* just realized I used two "delightful" sets). I folded the flower several times to add some distressing and also did some white ink distressing along the edges. Happy card! Happy day! Thanks for stopping by!

Remix: Layout #2

Hi Everyone! I'm finally back with my Remix layout. Quick catch up for newbies... Remix: From Card to Page  is a feature on my blog where I design a card and then use that as inspiration for a scrapbook layout. Check out the Remix #2 card HERE . For this Remix I used the apple image (from Paper Smooches) as my inspiration. It all started with those 3 apples on the bottom of the page and then I built everything around it. Since I only had one picture for this layout I decided to create two areas for journaling. The first journaling block is the quick story of my son's first day of preschool. The second spot includes lots of facts I thought would be fun to remember as the years go by. (details were blurred out for privacy) The apples were paper pieced, inked, colored (stems and leaf). The star was stamped from Papertrey Ink's Banner Builder set. I also carried over the banner theme from my inspiration card and added several stamps banners to the la...

Lucky to Have You

Hi Everyone! Welcome to a very rare double post day. Today on Facebook I noticed that Paper Crafts had a fun color challenge that ends today. With lots of ideas already whirling around in my head this card came together quickly. I used Paper Smooches FREE digi images HERE , a simplified pot of gold cut with my Silhouette, my trusty Spellbinders Labels 8 die and the colors for the challenge. Its a little more simple than I normally go for but I think I like it. :) Hope you had a little luck today. :)

Jumping Birthday Fishes

Hi Everyone! I'm totally excited about Kim Hughes new line of stamps called Paper Smooches . I found them through my crafty friend Kryssi and I've totally fallen in love! :) I created this card using the fish (and sentiment) from Birthday Buddies . I created the waves with a circle punch that I punch randomly across two sheets of paper. When I layered the papers I made sure that the waves didn't line up so that their ocean was a little rocky. :) I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by! PS- An extra special thank you for everyone that left me a comment on my last post. Every comment made me smile and made me feel like a winner despite my rejection. You all are the best!!!

Ice Cream Birthday

Hi Everyone! This was a crazy week waiting and waiting to hear if some of my cards would make the latest Paper Crafts magazine...but they were all rejected. Bummer! I'll try again next time. :) Lots of crafting friends have been posting their rejects and I thought it would be fun to share one of mine. This card uses Hero Arts new Life of the Party Birthday set. I've already made a few birthday cards with it and I can't wait to use it more! Hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

This set has so many fun images and great sentiments I know I will get good use out of it. Pair it with some My Mind's Eye Paper and its a match made in heaven! Thanks for stopping by!
