Tres Chic-kie

Happy Sunday everybody! I didn't think I'd be entering this week's Hero Arts challenge but I was reading through my favorite blogs yesterday and was totally inspired by Jennifer Holmes. Love when that happens! Within a few hours I had this card put together.

I had fun adding a few extra details. I curled the beak around a pencil to make it curve. Then put two layers of dimensional tape under the middle to support the shape. I also made accordion feet. These can fold flat for mailing. :)

Materials: Hero Arts Stamps (Basic Lower & Upper Case Letters, Wavy Leaf Pattern, Many Hearts), Hero Arts Flowers, Hero Arts Button and Gems, Black Buttons, BoBunny Paper, String.

Have a great day!

Adorable. Would you be able to tell me how you got the jagged hair for the chick. Is it a hero arts type of die. I just love this card.

Mama Elephant March Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to...

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
