Sunshine Layout

Hi Everyone! It's official...I'm finally sharing one of my scrapbook layouts on my blog! I created my first scrapbook page a long long time ago in high school. The love of scrapbooking lead me down the paper crafting road and eventually I found stamping and card making. It feels great to finally come full circle. :) My page is also being featured on the Penny Black blog today!

This is a page of my daughter when she turned 11 months old. I did a photo shoot of her every month from birth to a year old. I generally take a lot of pictures of my kids but I'm glad I have these milestones along with journaling to keep in her memory book. Now I just need to finish scrapping all of them!

I love this butterfly from Penny Black. I colored it with Copics then added Glossy Accents to the large circles. I also cut between the wings and added a pop dot under the largest wing for added dimension.

I stamped these sweet flowers to complete my outdoor scene. I used the same colors as the butterfly to balance the colors across the page. As you can see I stamped the largest flower twice and offset it slightly. Glossy Accents were added to the red flowers.
Oh and how could I forget. Penny Black has a great alpabet set called Kate Text. I used the lower case set to stamp "you are my" and the date.

So do you want to see more layouts? I'd love to hear from you!

Mama Elephant March Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to...

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
