Mini Cards

Hi Everyone! The last couple days have been kinda crazy around my house. My energy filled 3 year old had a big fall and ended up with 4 stitches in the back of his head on Tuesday night. He is doing well but of coarse I'm still rattled and I've been chasing after him trying to slow him down so he can recover. :)

Today on the Penny Black blog we are featuring mini cards (half of an A2 or 2 3/4" x 4 1/4"). All of the design team members have cards posted so its a fun post! I love being part of such a talented and diverse design team!

On my second mini I created a felt tree inspired by the line of Christmas trees called "Little Trees". The whimsical shape was easy to cut out by hand and I added stitching and pearls for decorations.

I hope you have a great day!

These are so CUTE!!! :)
So sorry to hear about your little boy's fall. I don't have children yet, but I can imagine how incredibly scary that must be. I sure hope he recovers soon.

Amazing cards Ashley. Hope your little guy is okay.... thankfully they bounce well at that age!.... mine are 8 and 6.5 and don't know where the time goes.... they have had their fair share of bumps and knocks.... I think the Moms get the biggest fright! Fab job on PB - loved your feature and amazing cards.

Mama Elephant March Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to...

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
