Big Birthday Cake

Hi Everyone! I've been busy all day finishing plans for my son's 3rd birthday party. I'm making lots of banners for his big race car day. Its gonna be fun!
While working on the big plans I decided to put together a card for one of my son's best friends.

I layered the cake and added a few extra candles to personalize it just for her. I've added Glossy Accents to the gooey layers of frosting, candles and present. I'm sure she'll fly past her card when her birthday rolls around but maybe the happy Critter and the glimpse of pink will make her smile for a quick second. :)

Have a great night!

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
