Mama Elephant and Operation Write Home

I'm super excited to be joining Mama Elephant and OWH today for an awesome cause and to show off a super cute new stamp set! You should be joining me from Laura Bassen's blog but you can find a complete hop list at the bottom in case you are lost. :)

Mama Elephant is so excited to be partnering this summer with Operation Write Home - they are a nonprofit that sends beautiful handmade cards to our service members so that they can write home to their families. Isn’t that just the best? There’s no Hallmark store in the desert, so this is a pretty important gift we can give them as crafters!

Mama Elephant's “In My heart” set was inspired by the mission of OWH; Mama Elephant knows that many of those serving overseas have little kiddos at home that they write to. So Mama Elephant designed cute little kids and sentiments to express just how much those little folks are missed! The drawings are done in such a way that they can be adapted to different ethnicities too, making this a really flexible set. Mama Elephant will  be donating 20% of the proceeds of the stamp sets sold on our retail site from now until July 31st! How cool is that?

You can join in on the mission to serve the troops - be sure you visit the OWH website and read all the guidelines carefully….you’ll learn about why glitter is dangerous to send, so leave the stickles behind when making cards for heroes! Lots more information is available on their Welcome page - tons of questions are answered there! And they have a fun YouTube show each weekday with project info, tutorials, and more - check it out HERE.

So now that you know all the cool details....here is my card using this AMAZING set!

I paper pieced this sweet little girl and added my favorite sentiment from this set. Her hair needed a little bling so I added a gold sparkly enamel dot. :)

There is more inspiration so keep hopping! Next up is Heather Campbell!

Here is a complete blog hop list :)

Mama Elephant March Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to...

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
