Card Creations Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Welcome to the Paper Crafts Card Creations Volume 2 blog hop! This is such a fun magazine. I've already been through my copy a few times and it's AMAZING! So much inspiration. It makes you want to craft, and that's a good thing!

If you're hoppin' along you should have come from Kalyn Kepner's blog. I always love what she creates!

We all are working with a sketch for this hop. I chose this one....

I didn't match the pieces exactly but I was inspired by the angles. Geometric designs are so trendy right now.

To make the card I cut up 4 different patterned papers from Studio Calico's Wanderlust 6x6 paper pad. I purposely chose patterns that were different but didn't compete. I didn't want a super busy card. I layered them all on a text weight paper then adhered them to a cardstock base. The final step was to add my sentiment and embellishments.

To celebrate Card Creations Volume 2 Paper Crafts is letting me GIVEAWAY one copy of this special issue to someone that comments on my blog! If you are in the USA Paper Crafts will mail you the issue. International winners will get a digital copy. Just comment with your FAVORITE THING right now for a chance to win! Entries will be accepted until March 11th! Please check back on the 12th to see if you won or make sure your comment has a way that I can contact you! :)

Next on the hop is the talented Katie Gehring! Have fun hoppin'!

I especially like the layout you have chosen as one could also use up the odds and ends from other projects . like your colour choice--soft and gentle-- is the letter done in a felt like material --as that what it appears to me. Thank you fro sharing

Mama Elephant March Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
