Fun Friday: Valentine's Day Card

Hi Everyone! Valentine's day is almost here! Even though we celebrate is simple ways at my house, I LOVE this holiday. :)

I decided to make cards for my kids this year. At ages 6, 4 and 2 cards are...well...sometimes boring. So I had to make something a little more fun and interactive. ;)

My son learned to read this last year so this sentiment is perfect. I started with a journaling card, cut it down a bit, rounded the corners and bound it with washi tape.

The book is lined with some patterned paper and can be opened to reveal lots of fun hearts. I'll also write a little top secret message. :)

All the stamps for this card are from Lawn Fawn's Science of Love set. The large heart die is from Papertrey Ink.

Tip: A small piece of tape or a glue dot on the inside front cover will be well hidden but also keep the book closed when not in use.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mama Elephant March Stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com I am so excited to share the new stamp set Ella & Friends with you! There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first... To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to...

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
