Jane's Doodles Guest Designer

Hi Everyone! I'm totally excited to be a guest designer for Jane as she celebrates the release of her stamp set Jane's Bakery. I fell in love with these images when she first created them in digital format but am beyond thrilled that they are now available in clear stamps!

On my first card I repeated Jane's polka dot image to create a fun yellow background. I stamped the cupcake image, colored the wrapper with Distress Inks then placed it on the cake stand using a simple masking technique. I stamped the banner image and pieced it with coordinating papers and did some light shading with Copics.

There are a few little extras things that are worth mentioning about this set. First, you can carefully bend the banner to make it fit the space you are working with. Second, the "happy birthday" sentiment that is included in this set is two separate stamps so you can line it up and arrange it however you'd like to work with your design.

The second card I made features the cake image. Again, I started by building a polka dot background then I layered the sentiment and the focal image on top. The cake was colored with Distress Inks and the frosting was paper pieced and covered in Glossy Accents. My color inspiration came from my idea of the perfect cake/cupcake store decor. :)

You can check out what the Jane's Doodles design team has created with the set here:

She also has a few other guest designers that you can check out here:

Jane's stamps (and awesome embellishments) are available on Esty HERE and in Australia HERE. Her stamps are made of high quality photopolymer rubber in the USA.

The release is another knock out hit! Each stamp set is amazing! Today I'm featuring Cross My Heart and I sneaked in a few of the other sets too! ;) I started my card by die cutting the stitched index card . Then I cut out the window  which is designed to open. (cool, right?) I wanted a frame for my window so I die cut the window again and trimmed the side before adhering it to my index base. Then I backed my window with some cloud patterned paper for my outside sky. Next I stamped and die cut the cats from Purrfect Pair. I have had SO much fun with these cats. After adhering to cats to the window sill, I stamped and fussy cut the heart balloon. I tied some black floss around the balloon and adhere it to the kitten's paw. Finally, I stamped my sentiment.
