Two is Better Than One

Hi Everybody! I thought the title was appropriate since this card is for two challenges and I'm also about to have two kids. :) Dawn McVey's amazing color choices this week are my favorites so her challenge was super fun! I also used the sketch from Caardvarks which was simple and easy to work with.

I can't count the times I've used my Four Stylish Owls set from Hero Arts. They are perfect if you ask me. :) I thought of adding some more stamping to this card but in the end decided to keep it simple and let the owl be the focal point.

Hope you are having a great day. Oh and be sure to check back in on Friday for a very exciting announcement!!!!! I can't wait!

Materials: Hero Arts Stamps (Four Stylish Owls, Live it Up), Hero Arts Flower, Bo Bunny & PTI Paper.

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !
