Hugs are the Answer

Hi Everyone!  Do you know someone who needs a hug? Simple Said Hugs  is a hug in a stamp set. :) I love the variety of sentiment combinations in this set. I used one of my favorites on today's card and another one HERE . I started the card by die cutting "hugs" from the  Simply Said Hugs Die . I used Distress Stain to color the blue shadow behind the word. Then, I stamped, fussy cut and colored one of the adorable dogs from Furry Friends . The background was created using a mask from the Rocky Shores dies , The green grass is Distress Ink and the pink is Distress Paint. I finished the card by embossing the sentiment on black,  Hope you are having a great week!

Mad Love

Hey Everyone!  Today I combined two awesome stamp sets from Avery Elle, My Favorite and That Bites. I love the sweet, stylish sentiments in My Favorite. I couldn't help but pair these funny fish with this particular sentiment.  I started by embossing the sentiment with white embossing powder. Then I blended 3 distress inks to make create the water for the fish. The fish were stamped and die cut, then colored with Copics. I love the two tone fish. I've done it before and I just couldn't help but color them in two colors again. I really think it makes them come to life.  I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Avery Elle Saturday

Hi Everyone! It's Saturday and I need to do a little catch up on my blog. I've been having so much fun with Letter Ballons over the last few weeks. Pinterest is full of inspiration! My first card is an engagement card. I hand drew the string for the congrats banner and colored the letters with Distress Stain. Distress Stain is the easiest way to add quick color and I love to use it!  I stamped and die cut the cute couple from Swans . Do you see all the details the  coordinating die cuts out??? I love that detail. Next up I created another Letter Balloons card. This time I used Distress Paint and blended two colors together to create a fun gold look. I stamped, colored and die cut The Scoop  ice cream truck and customized the colors and ice cream. This is another set where the die cuts  blow me away. They cut out the window perfectly! Also, did you notice??!?! I join the Butterfly Reflections  team and I'm thrilled to share cards on their ...
