Owl and Flower Friends

Hi Everyone! Isn't summer just flying by? We've been keeping busy but I'm glad I've found time to create. I made this card for the Moxie Fab World Fun and Cute challenge. Penny Black is known for their cute stamps. This set is no different! There are so many possibilities in this set. For my card today I paired up the owl and the smiling flower. They look like good friends, don't you think? I've also really been enjoying my Nestabilities and other dies lately. Its a quick way to jazz up a card. Finally, how could I forget!?! The new Penny Black winter catalogs are out . Grab a cup of coffee and check them out here . You are in for a treat!

My Friend Mimi

Hi Everyone! I'd like you to meet my friend. She is fun, energetic, happy and an all around great gal! Oh and did I mention...she is loads of fun to color too! Meet Mimi . I colored Mimi with Copics and Prisma Color pencils. Then I layered clouds behind her that were stamped with pointille . I will be using this fun polka dot stamp A LOT! I've had a big day so I'm off to relax. I can't wait to start reading all the CHA posts! Oooo it won't be long before I'll be drooling over lots of new fun products!!!! Yippee! PS- I'm TOTALLY excited about THIS ! :)

Hill Flowers Polaroid Card

Hi Everyone! Its Wednesday! How is your week going? I've had a fun couple of days playing with the hill flowers stamp and am excited to show you this card! First I stamped the paisley swirls background stamp which was inked up with various ColorBox Chalk Ink blues. Then I layered the hill flowers stamp right over it. After I finished the focal image it reminded me of a photograph so I framed it up like an old Polaroid picture and added a sentiment. Then I added a butterfly punch covered in Glossy Accents. I love the look! Hope you have a great day! I also want to mention that my brother's girlfriend just opened up a Etsy shop to sell her AMAZING jewelry. Check it out! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Onenonplainjane

Down Hill Bicycle Card

Hi Everyone! I just finished up a few cards for Penny Black and am so excited to share them with you...but you'll just have to wait. ;) Their stamps are so fun and addicting...sort of like a potato chip...you can't stop with just one! But since I have to keep those cards locked up for a little bit I thought I'd show you a card I made for a friend recently. She requested a card for her brother. She wanted the PTI bike stamp going downhill. With that inspiration, I came up with this. I recently picked up some cork sheets at Michael's because I was so inspired by Dawn's recent projects . Immediately I found out how fragile they are because I accidentally ripped one. After a huge sigh and a little growl I set the damaged piece aside. I went back a few minutes later to throw the piece away....I had an idea! It kinda looks cool torn! :) Materials: Stamps: PTI Everyday Button Bits, Hero Arts Woodgrain Ink: Ranger Distress Ink, Memories Black Dye Ink Paper: Paper Trey Ink...

Cupcake Tower Birthday Card

Hi Everyone! I had a lot of fun putting together this next card. A few cupcakes and a party banner are two quick ways to cheer up any card! I started the card by creating clouds using Big Scallops Nestabilities as my template. Then I created my cupcake tower by masking and layering the Penny Black cup-cake stamp. I cut out small triangles to create my banner then stamped them with the vase stamps from THIS set using white ink. I colored the cupcakes with colored pencils, added some Glossy Accents to the frosting and added some sparkle on the candle's flame. I finished the card by adding a few brads, and the sentiment (also from THIS set). Hope you have a great sunny day!

Best Wishes Butterfly Card

Hi Everyone! Have you noticed that tags are all the rage these days? I'm seeing them everywhere! I didn't have any premade tags on hand so I went ahead and made my own. The doily was cut out using my Silhouette (Thanks for enabling me Lisa!). For those of you that might be curious, I ungrouped the image and deleted some of the tiny details so I could cut it smaller. I love the image as is but it just wasn't going to work so small. The beautiful butterfly stamp is THIS one by Penny Black. I also used THIS set for the sentiment and my background. Hope you are enjoying your long weekend! Take care!
