Big Birthday Cake

Hi Everyone! I've been busy all day finishing plans for my son's 3rd birthday party. I'm making lots of banners for his big race car day. Its gonna be fun! While working on the big plans I decided to put together a card for one of my son's best friends. I layered the cake and added a few extra candles to personalize it just for her. I've added Glossy Accents to the gooey layers of frosting, candles and present. I'm sure she'll fly past her card when her birthday rolls around but maybe the happy Critter and the glimpse of pink will make her smile for a quick second. :) Have a great night! Penny Black stamps used: Pointille , ...Your Birthday

Bumble Bee Thank You Card

UPDATE: Card shape was done using the two largest dies from Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 8 . :) Hi Everyone! Today I'm going to share a fun quick Thank You card. I love stamps that make card making easy. A special thank you is definitely one of those stamps. I started by stamping the focal image and then colored it with Copics. I added a few tiny pearls to the flower centers then added honey bee covered in Glossy Accents along with a few Basic Grey buttons. Hope you had a great Monday!

Spotty the Dog

Hi Everyone! We have a lot of birthdays around the corner so I thought I'd get a head start with some of the cards. I used the adorable Spotty Penny Black stamp and paired it with perfect bone sentiment "bon mot" . After coloring Spotty the dog with Copics I cut a slit in his mouth so he could hold the bone. I used the bon mot stamp again on the craft paper to make a fun custom background. A fun card for a boy of any age!

Buttons and Brads

Hi Everyone! It has been hot hot hot here the last couple of days. I'm so thankful we have A/C...even if we only need to use it a few weeks a year. I'm sitting in our bonus room (only room without A/C in our house) and its a cool 85 degrees. :) I created my card today for the Paper Crafts August Gallery Challenge. The challenge was to incorporate buttons, brads and/or ribbon. You all know that I love buttons and the Basic Grey sets have been among my favs lately. Aren't these citrus colors yummy? I picked up the coordinating brands and am loving them too! And how could I forget the wonderful stamps! I used birds on a wire and salutations from Penny Black. Love the birds stamp! Have a great day! I'm headed back to the A/C! :)

Moo Cow

Hi Everyone! I'm back to share a card I made with Taylor's sketch #123 . I flipped the sketch a little bit to work with my image. Speaking of the image, isn't this cow adorable? I layered Nestabilities Classic Ovals with Labels 4. I love the combo. If you have several dies try mixing and matching them in different ways. They don't have to nest perfectly to be a great match! I colored the cow with Copics, inked up all the layers and used pointille and letter background to add subtle interest to the background. I was super excited to finally use buttons from the very talented Jane . Love the character and interest they add. Thanks Jane!!!!<> Hope you are having a great day! See you back here soon!

My Take on Shabby and Vintage

Hi Everyone! Like a lot of you, I've been really inspired by all of the different styles from Card Style featured on Moxie Fab World . Of all four styles (Classy & Elegant, Shabby and Vintage, Clean and Graphic, Fun and Cute) Shabby and Vintage is definatley the most foreign to me. So just for the fun of it I decided to give it a go. With my supplies on hand I created this warm butterfly card using the Penny Black Enjoy Life set. There are so many great vintage stamps in this set. I used a few additional stamps for the background ( Letter Background and Deco ). So this is about as shabby as I go. :) Hope you are having a great day!
